Its coming this Feb.. And Its HUGE!

Coming to you next Monday is the new version of Toufee. And its not just some minor tweaks or features we're talking about...because this time its frickin' huge!! We've actually been quietly working on this for over 3 months now, day and night, night and day - and some more :) Now that its 99% done, its finally coming to you on the 6th. Just Over a Week Left!
Our site crossed the 5,000 member mark in less than 3 months and this initial overwhelming response prompted us to make it even bigger this time! So what's coming to you is something you have never seen in any site before. Something that'll change how you see flash movie making forever on... You know we are dying to tell you guys about all the stuff you'll be able to do with this - but can't because it'll kill the surprise that is waiting for you as the 6th is approaching.
One more thing.. we are looking for a few beta testers. Nice people who are interested in helping us out (and getting a sneak preview), please reply to this email with the subject "I'm in" and we'll upgrade your accounts. For the rest, it's coming to you on 6th Feb... Remember that date for you wouldn't wanna miss this one for the world! :)

New Voiceover for Toufee!

Hi,
Just in case you guys missed the new voiceover is in place! Go to the main page and hit the watch it button. Its done by September Day and I think she has a very nice voice. Kudos to her for doing such a nice job! Oh and btw if you still hear a male voice that means that you're probably running the swf from your browser's cache, and in that case you will need to clear your browser's cache and hit the watch it button on the main page again.

How many of you speak Brazilian Portuguese?

The reason for making this short post is because the number of people on toufee.com who joined from Brazil is getting more and more each day... But because we speak English our site is also in English so not all Brazilians can use our software. So I was wondering if any kind soul would be nice enough to check this translated paragraph of text for me and help out our Brazilian members. I have this translated via Google Language Tools so that is why I need a human to double check it for accuracy. We will go in for professional translation soon but for now I just need something that will make sense in Portuguese so Brazilian people here can make better use of our software too.

additional server

Well, Toufee just got another new home! :)
This morning we added another bigger, faster server to toufee to better accommodate the site - our previous one was getting a little cramped since we've crossed over 4500 members this month! Anyway, this makes sure sure that there are no limits to what you can upload (unlimited pics, movies, sounds like before) and more importantly you should notice a general speed increase in the site's responsiveness.

Please make sure to let us know your thoughts, suggestions as it only helps us to better our site.

Sorry for delay in updates but it was vacation and we just got back from Goa yesterday. I hope you enjoyed your holidays too!

Anyway, before leaving I was working on this Christmas Flash greeting in Toufee yesterday. Just had it completed in the nick of time before leaving! I am no designer, but I hope you like it still because its hand made in Toufee :)

The reason for mentioning it in the Blog is because I took it a step further and made it into this script with which you can personalize this card to send to your friends too: http://www.toufee.com/card.html

But what this really means to you is that now any Toufee movie can be made into a Toufee template. So if you make a Birthday card and instead of say Hello Lauren you put Hello $name (in the text in the movie) then you can have a form just like above with which people can personalize and share it as their own movie. The best part is that the final movie can then be opened inside the Toufee's WYSIWYG editor where the person can edit the card just like you edit your toufee movies! Sorry, if its getting too complicated but I'm very excited about this new feature and wanted to share it!

Its 4th and we're all getting back to business and more new features are coming soon.

P.S. Also please have a look at the icons when you click the Publish button inside the Toufee movie editor. Now you can directly publish your movies to Myspace, Xanga, Friendster, Hi5, etc without doing any HTML or copy-paste! :)
